Actief Werkt! wins government tender

Wednesday 4 May 2022

Actief Werkt! , the Netherlands' largest temporary employment agency in the cleaning segment, has won the European tender for temporary workers by the National Cleaning Organization (IFA RSO). It concerns a national temporary employment contract for facility services (mainly cleaning) at (semi-)government locations from Maastricht to Groningen . The tender was awarded on 1 February; The placement of employees has started from 1 April.

The tender is one of the larger ones that Actief Werkt! Inhouse Services recently won: it involves 25 to 40 flex colleagues per day, with an extension to more at peak demand due to holidays and illness. Nevertheless, Sarah van den Berk, Manager Actief Werkt! Inhouse Services, does not expect any problems with the occupation. “The Government Cleaning Organization has chosen us, among other things, because of our specific expertise in facility services and because we are the largest temporary employment agency in the cleaning segment. Moreover, these are all day shifts, and these are highly sought-after jobs that we will be filling in all regions.”

When awarding the new contract to Actief Werkt! , the fact that the central government considers sustainable employability to be of great importance. Van den Berk: “We believe in structural attention for employees. This results in motivated employees and sustainable employability. The use of education and training contributes to this. For example, we have a platform for practically trained flex colleagues and for MBO or higher educated flex colleagues to get started easily.”

Actief Werkt! has had a top 10 position in the Dutch market of temporary employment agencies since 2019. The temporary employment agency opened fifteen new regional branches in the past two years. Director of Actief Werkt , Ronald Kardol, explains: “We strongly believe in our personal and local approach. We see that it works to be as close as possible to our customers and job seekers. We do this against the market trend. Not everything is going digital, in the labor market the human factor and connecting employers and employees is still very important.”
