Een mortgage for temporary workers

With the Actief Werkt! perspective statement it has been possible for temporary workers to apply for a mortgage for a number of years now. Our flex colleague Danny, a landscape gardener at Sight landscaping, recently received a perspective statement.

Actief Werkt! is certified (VRO) to provide its flex workers with a perspective statement. The perspective statement is accepted by the largest mortgage lenders, with the option of a National Mortgage Guarantee (NHG). These are ABN AMRO, Aegon, Allianz, Argenta, BLG Wonen, Delta Lloyd, Florius, Hypotrust Hypotheken, ING, Nationale Nederlanden, NIBC Direct, Obvion, Rabobank, Reaal, Regiobank, Robuust, SNS, Triodos Bank and Vista Hypotheken. Our Perspective appraisers assess your position and employability on the labor market and, if the result is positive, they will issue a perspective statement for you with which you can take out a mortgage.

 condition to be eligible for this is that you have been working for at least 52 weeks at the time of application for Actief Werkt!

Important when applying for a perspective statement:

1. The processing time for an application is a maximum of 3 weeks, counting from the moment the flexworker has submitted the required documents.
2. A complete and good file (references, assessments, interviews) does not automatically lead to the issuance of a Perspective Statement because the prospects on the labor market may be disappointing.
3. To avoid fines, it is important that you wait before buying a house until you have the perspective statement in your possession.
4. The perspective statement is valid for six months after issuance.

What does the application process look like?

The perspective valuer coordinates the application process, which consists of the following 3 parts:

1. Telephone intake interview + assessment of personal file
2. Discussion with manager about “employability” (to what extent can the flexworker find his/her own way in the labor market)
3. A labor market scan (what does the labor market look like at that moment)

How can I request the perspective statement?

This can be done in two ways:

• Your contact person from Actief Werkt! can request this for you
• You can request the perspective statement yourself via your " Mijn Actief " environment (section 'Administration')

PLEASE NOTE: a Perspective Statement is not the same as an employer's statement. Sometimes an employer's statement is sufficient for applying
