Important information about your salary payment and the holidays

Monday 10 December 2018

It's almost Christmas! Whether you are free or have to work; the holidays have consequences for your salary payment. You can read what those are here.

When will your salary be paid?

You will normally receive your salary from week 51 (that is the week of December 18) on Tuesday.   the banks are closed during the Christmas season, your salary will be deposited into your account later, on Thursday December 27.   You will also receive your salary from week 52 (that is the week of December 24) later than you are used to. The banks are closed on Tuesday for New Year's Day. You will then receive your salary on Wednesday 2 January.   Your salary during the holidays

You can read below whether you are entitled to continued payment of public holidays. If so, you will be paid the holiday hours of Christmas in week 2. The holiday hours of New Year's Day will be paid in week 3.

Are you entitled to continued payment of public holidays?

Christmas falls on Tuesday and Wednesday this year, and New Year's Day on Tuesday. Are you obligated to be free? If these days are your regular working days, you are entitled to continued payment. We manually check your work pattern to see whether it concerns fixed working days or not. That takes extra time, and for that reason the public holiday hours are paid on it with the payment of the week.
You will receive the Christmas holiday hours as indicated above in week 2. You will receive the New Year's Day holiday hours in week 3.   you never work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays? Then of course you are not immediately entitled to payment.
