Pentecost and your salary payment

Monday 25 May 2020

It doesn't end with all those public holidays; now the Pentecost weekend is around the door again. There are consequences for your salary payment, we will discuss this with you.

Your salary one day later

Pentecost falls on Sunday 31 May and Monday 1 June. You would normally receive your salary from the week before on Tuesday 2 June. Because the banks are closed on Mondays, that will now be one day later: you will receive your salary on your account on Wednesday.

Are you entitled to continued payment of public holiday hours at Pentecost?

Since the new collective labor agreement for temporary workers, this arrangement has changed in your favor. We check whether the day on which the holiday falls is normally a working day for you. If you have worked at least 7 times on this day in the past 13 weeks, you are entitled to continued payment.

When will you receive the Pentecost public holiday hours on your account?

You will receive these hours later than you are used to. Normally you would get them with the salary payment the following week. By manually checking whether you are entitled to continued payment, you will receive these public holiday hours with the salary payment of the following week.   If you are entitled to continued payment on Whit Monday, you will receive this salary on Tuesday 16 June.
