employees, technicians or forklift drivers. Sometimes we have special vacancies: a windmill maker, for example. Or a fruit judge. But Actief Werkt! Veenendaal got a very special vacancy a few months ago. Read the story of Oskar and Joy here.
Oskar Hendriksen is an entrepreneur. Since 2004 he has had a consultancy company, Onetomany.
He does assignments in IT interim management and project management. He did numerous assignments, his company grew, he was successful, until suddenly a hitch in 2015 came. He was stricken with a brain haemorrhage.
Oskar is a passionate entrepreneur, but also a positive person. His motto is not for nothing
'Make sure you have a smile on your face at the end of the day!' It helped him get back into business, but he needed help.
A special vacancy
Oskar says: “In October 2015 I was struck by a brain haemorrhage. Fortunately, after a hospital period and a heavy rehabilitation process, I am almost back to my old self. Only my sight is damaged, I only see 30%. And this doesn't get any better either. I was therefore looking for a real control cousin with infinite flexibility. Een strong left hand. Someone who likes to learn. Someone who brings me mobility and whom I can teach all the ins and outs of my field. Een sheep with 5 legs."
"I wasn't sure who I would approach. Should I go to schools or should I look in my own network? An acquaintance brought me to Actief Werkt! . How's Joy?
Finally, Oskar tells how things are going. "Joy is doing very well. We have discussed in advance how we are going to handle it. Joy goes with me to all appointments and can ask anything she wants to know. There are no stupid questions. We have agreed that I will deep throw, but don't let her 'drown'. I help her where necessary. Joy now has her first assignment of her own. We have good conversations, fun and hard work."
