At the locations in Aalsmeer , Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg we have been successfully deploying flower distributors and logistics staff for many years. Together with Royal FloraHolland, our on-site teams are continuously working on improving reliable productivity. Bringing the performance within Logistics in order is one of the priorities for 2018. This requires more logistics colleagues. We recruit almost continuously. In addition, Actief Werkt! works closely with Olympia. A total of about 400 employees per day work via Actief Werkt! .
Towards more certainty
The dynamics of Royal FloraHolland require a high degree of flexibility. The use of flex workers fits in with this. However, that does not mean that there are no longer-term opportunities for them. In the coming year, no fewer than 150 flex workers will receive a permanent contract. The first forty employees have already received their contracts. Een a good example of how flexible working can be a stepping stone to a permanent job, to security.
In Aalsmeer , the team managers of the 'Flowers' department congratulated temporary workers on a contract for an indefinite period. David Otten, team manager, congratulated the new permanent with their contract: "We are extremely proud of you! And you can also be proud that you are here now, because you have been chosen from a lot of applications."

Brand new permanent employee Gerdie Bakker: "For me it feels like coming home. I have worked in various places within the auction before in Aalsmeer . The last two years as a temporary worker, but now luckily again with a permanent contract." Ernest van den Broek is also enthusiastic: "It is nice to be a link in a global company that works in such a great industry. After all, we all share gifts." Marcel de Kruijf is also happy to be part of it: "After first working for another auction and then having my own flower shop, I can now work at Royal FloraHolland. Flowers are really my passion."
Temporary workers also received their contracts in Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk last week. Frans Paas, Logistics team manager in Naaldwijk : "A nice moment, during which we expressed our gratitude to the new permanent employees. Their commitment, qualities, results, ambition and motivation ensured that they were chosen from all 106 candidates."
