NederlandsOur work is 'people's work'. It is our core business and we want to take good care of our people. In personal contact, but we look further than that. The world around us is changing rapidly: more people on the same piece of earth, a progressive depletion of fossil fuels and a growing stream of waste. For several years now, we have made the environment a spearhead. As a socially involved service provider, we take up our responsibility in this respect with an integrated environmental policy.
Little things, big difference
The environmental policy of Actief Werkt! is aimed at practically adaptable solutions that do not cost us more work, but do result in direct savings in environmental impact.
Sustainable purchasing policy
Actief Werkt! applies a sustainable purchasing policy. This means that in all purchasing decisions, in addition to price and quality, the environmental and social aspects of the products and services to be purchased are also taken into account. Our suppliers and service providers are tested for this. The three pillars Profit (profit), Planet (environment) and People (people) must be in balance with each other. It is about awareness, behavior of people, working conditions, responsibilities and clear communication. We therefore make specific agreements on these subjects in our agreements. We see this as a sustainable process in which both parties intend to do things a little better. Any collaboration must meet the following elements:
- transparency in agreements made;
- nobody is excluded from the labor process;
- respect for each other's norms and values.
Our policy is aimed at minimizing the impact on the environment, humans and animals. For example, we focus on waste separation and recycling, we combat waste by discouraging printing and digitize our services as much as possible, and we have set ourselves the goal of limiting our CO2 emissions as much as possible. We therefore use pool cars, have strict standards with regard to CO2 emissions when choosing lease cars, encourage the use of public transport and cycling for short distances, and facilitate working from home and remote meetings.

Every year we thank all our flex colleagues for their efforts with a Christmas package. We buy these Christmas packages from DoeGoods, an IBN label (Integrale Bedrijven Noord-Oost-Brabant) where people with an occupational disability produce the gifts.
