BBL Education Painter - Level 2

Is painting surfaces and materials your thing? Then the profession of painter is really something for you!

During the BBL Painter training (level 2) you are introduced to activities such as sanding, filling, painting, installing glass and wallpapering. Once you have completed your diploma, you can start working for a painting and/or maintenance company in your region.

BBL trajectory painting

The BBL painting course lasts two years and during the course you work four days a week at a painting company. We have a large network of painting companies in your region, which is why we provide a suitable training company.

If you have contact with a painting company where you can get started, this is also possible. The Education and Vocational Education Act obliges MBO students to follow the practical part of their training at a recognized work placement company. Is the painting company you want to work for not yet recognized? Then Actief Techniek can apply for recognition for the company. 

You will receive a salary for the days you work. This is in accordance with Schilders CAO (based on age).

One day a week you go to school and topics such as painting techniques, safety in the workplace and dealing with colleagues and customers are discussed. In the practice rooms and the Painting and Maintenance Professional Center you will learn how to deal with various paint systems

Within the BBL painting course, theory is taught through an online training program Studeo. The theory is supported by digital resources such as videos, digital assignments and digital progress tests. This means that, in addition to classroom lessons, you can complete the online Studeo training program independently

Cost

You do not pay any tuition fees for following this training. Books, modules and other learning materials are also for the account of Actief Techniek . You have to pay for any purchase of a laptop yourself

Practical issues

You follow the BBL painting course in two years. The content of the training consists of:

✓ subject theory
✓ practical lessons
✓ general subjects (English, Dutch, maths and career coaching)

Your school day starts at 8:15 AM and ends at 4:15 PM.
Breaks are from 10am to 10:30am, 12:30pm to 1pm and 3pm to 3:15pm.

Admission Requirements

If you want to start the BBL painting training (level 2), it is important that you have one of the following diplomas:

✓ VMBO diploma (basic vocational, managerial vocational, mixed or theoretical learning path)
✓ Entrance training diploma

Do you not yet meet the requirements to start the BBL painting course? Then it is possible to follow the BBL training Assistant building, living and maintenance (Entree Bouw) as a preliminary training.

With your painting diploma in your pocket, you can immediately start working at a painting and/or maintenance company after your training! 

Would you like to continue your studies? After this training you can continue learning for Gezel Schilder (level 3). During this training, among other things:
