Do you want to work as an arborist and are you not afraid of heights? Then the European Treeworker (ETW'er) training is really something for you!
During this training you will be trained as a Skilled Arborist. After the training you will be able to perform simple and more difficult tree care tasks competently and safely.
During the training you will learn:
√ Planting trees and transplanting mature trees
√Improve the position of poorly growing trees
√ Pruning trees (maintenance pruning and correction pruning)
√ Climbing techniques*
√ Working safely with aerial platforms
√ Felling heavy trees
√ Laws and regulations
√Capturing research data
√ Using research equipment
* You can also opt for a training without climbing techniques.
As an Allround Arborist you must be able to make diagnoses before the treatment takes place. Customer communication and giving advice are of great importance here. You can conduct your own research above and below ground on affected or weakened trees.
This training is intended for anyone who works or wants to work in tree care. You need at least a secondary education at level II (basic professional practitioner) to be able to start. During the training you will work one or more days a week at a company in the tree care sector.
After you have completed the training, you can register for the 'European Treeworker' exam. After passing this exam, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate, which increases your chance of a job.
