Operator training

Do you want to develop into a Process Operator? With Active you can! We offer both retraining and further training in technology. This means that it does not matter what previous education you have followed or what profession you practice, the most important thing is that you are motivated! With the Operator training you can obtain a recognized MBO diploma in two years. You work and learn at the same time, so you earn a salary while following your training!

Operator training opportunities

We offer the training of Operator A and B (MBO level 2 and 3). During this training you will work for one of our clients and you will be guided at your workplace by a recognized teacher. You will also receive (career) guidance from our colleagues.

What does an Operator do?

As an Operator you are an important link in making the product. Activities that you perform on a daily basis are:

✓   You set the machines and adjust them where necessary
✓   You check the orders for the presence of materials and auxiliary materials
✓   You perform quality checks
✓   You intervene where necessary and / report malfunctions
✓   You perform maintenance on the machines
✓   You follow the guidelines of HACCP on  

Operator training content

During the training you will gain both theoretical and practical experience.

You take theory lessons at an accredited MBO school in your area. Lessons are given in class and online.

You will gain practical experience at one of our clients, where you will be guided by a recognized teacher. Together we look at which client suits you best.

The Operator A and B courses consist of 3 phases:

✓ Phase 1
In the first phase of the training, you get to know the industry, work safely and learn the basic skills of an Operator.

✓ Phase 2
The second phase of the training consists of broadening and deepening your knowledge and skills. You immerse yourself in your own workplace. You learn to start up, manage and transfer or complete processes. You will also carry out or supervise maintenance work. You also guarantee the quality.

✓ Phase 3
The third phase of the training focuses mainly on making improvements in the workplace.

Cost and duration of training

You do not have to pay tuition yourself. Books, clothing and personal protective equipment are for the account of Actief. You work full-time and spend about one day a week on self-study.   You will complete this training within 2 years and start working as an operator.

Future perspective

After completing the training you will often be employed by one of our clients. Yara Sluiskil regularly has operator vacancies   open. It is also possible to move on to further training (Operator level 3 or 4).
