Pipefitter training

Do you want to retrain yourself in technology in a profession with job security and receive a salary from day one? Then get started as a pipe fitter . 

Actief Werkt! Techniek has a Learning & Working trajectory to Pipefitter with job guarantee. Our training lasts 2 years. First you will spend 20 days (following) with us in the training location. You will then start working for one of our pipeline construction partners. The remaining 40 days of your training are spread over 2 years. There are several moments to enroll in the BBL Pipe Fitting Training each year. Our training locations are in Rotterdam and Emmen . After completing the training, as a certified pipe fitter you are able to measure and manufacture pipe parts completely independently within the set time and quality standards.

Contents BBL Pipefitter Training

✓ Isometric Drawing Reading and Manufacturing
✓ construction drawing
✓ Determining abbreviation lengths, making triangle calculations
✓ Knowledge of fittings, pipe material, flanges, gaskets, stud-bolts, schedules, pressure stages
✓ basics for bonding
✓ pipes and components
✓ Cut pipe, skip batch numbers, command, prepare weld
✓ Sets of flanges, bends and other pipe components
✓ Working on quality with a focus on the desired dimensions, squareness, parallelism, butt mounting of flanges, high-low and
✓ General care
✓ Drawing and manufacturing segment bend and branches, cold bending
✓ Working with the welding method description
✓ Basic knowledge and skills metal, quality and materials
✓ Occupational health, safety & environment
✓ Dutch, Mathematics and Career Citizenship
✓ 2 elective parts: digital skills, sustainability or gas transport pipelines
✓ BPV assignments in the company

Where will you get started?

As a pipe fitter you mainly work at assembly, construction or installation companies in sectors such as the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, chemicals and petrochemicals. Actief Werkt! Techniek has apprenticeships throughout Nederland at recognized training companies. We will discuss with you what the best work placement is.

Admission Requirements

✓ You are willing to travel. Our class locations are in Rotterdam and Emmen
✓ You have a good command of the Dutch language in word and writing
✓ You own or have access to a laptop/computer
✓ You are reliable and have good communication skills
✓ You have spatial awareness
✓ In possession of driver's license
