Training W-Installation Mechanic

Do you have technical insight, are you accurate, handy and do you like to work independently? Then our training as a W-Installation mechanic is really something for you. As a W-Installation Mechanic (Mechanical Installation Mechanic) you install installations for gas, water, heating and fresh air and make them work flawlessly. The programming and maintenance of installations, in people's homes or in companies, also falls within the beautiful profession of a W-installation technician.

And training with a future perspective

The total production within the installation sector is increasing enormously and will only increase further in the coming years. There is therefore a great demand for (W) installation technicians and there are plenty of installation technology vacancies. In the W-Installation Mechanic training you learn to know and apply the technical characteristics and applications of various installation techniques. Sustainable and innovative techniques are also part of the training offer (eg installation of heat pump). After completing this course you are widely employable within installation technology!

Training content

During our training as a W-Installation Mechanic you will learn how to install, maintain, repair and change various water, gas and heating installations. The training is given at our own vocational school in Emmen (TSH). The training program lasts 6 weeks and comprises a total of 23 days. The following components are covered in the W installation technician training:

Theory

✓ Material knowledge
✓ Pulling out materials

✓ Introduction to water supply
✓ Introduction to water drainage
✓ Regulations

Practice*

✓ Processing thin-walled steel pipes, compression fittings, bending bends, etc.
✓ Plastic pipe systems (Rehau, Viega, etc.)
✓ heating installation
✓ Heat pump assembly
✓ Construction of drinking water installation
✓ Construction of sewerage
✓ Process Spiro tube
✓ Processing PP,PE
✓  Fitting ½” steel pipes, incl.
✓  Hard soldering

* Approximately 75% of the lesson time is practical instruction. 

Cost

You do not have to pay tuition yourself. Books, tool box, clothing and personal protective equipment are at the expense of Actief Works! Technique.

Completion

The training is concluded with a practical aptitude test, with a satisfactory result the participant receives a (TSH) certificate.
