Business Analyst

As a Transport Analyst you are responsible for the transport of products to customers via road and sea transport. You analyze transport data and implement sustainability policies, such as CO2 reports. You work closely with internal departments (warehouse, sales finance) and report to the Supply Chain Manager.

What are you going to do?

In this role you are responsible for a wide range of tasks aimed at optimizing the transport process and promoting sustainability. You start your day by thoroughly analyzing the existing sustainability policy and identifying opportunities for improvement. With these insights in mind, you will start implementing new strategies, including CO2 reporting, to minimize the environmental impacts of transportation.

In addition to working on sustainability, you also take the lead in coordinating all outgoing transport activities. This includes managing the associated documentation and ensuring the smooth execution of all logistics processes. You are closely involved in the customs process and ensure that all formalities are handled correctly, including customer registration procedures.

In the case of return transports or complaints about transport, you are ready to handle these issues quickly and efficiently. You regularly negotiate rates with logistics service providers and ensure that costs remain within budgets. Checking and validating transport invoices is also part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all financial aspects of transport are handled correctly.

As the spider in the web between the company, carriers and customers, you manage the pallet administration and ensure flawless coordination of all logistics processes. Moreover, you are constantly looking for opportunities to improve outbound transport and reduce costs. You initiate and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency and optimize performance. With your commitment to sustainability and your ability to streamline logistics processes, you play a crucial role in the success of the transportation team.

What we ask of you:

• HBO working and thinking level
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with shipping terms and transport documents.
• Strong command of both the Dutch and English language.
• A customer-oriented attitude and organizational sensitivity.
