All-round metalworker

Can you read technical drawings independently? Is quality of paramount importance to you? And do you have your own transport for commuting? Then read on!

For our client, a company in Hengelo (gld), we are looking for an all-round metalworker. In this position you are responsible for various activities, including welding reinforcement steel. The reinforcing steel is placed in concrete for extra strength. You ensure that reinforcement structures are manufactured according to the drawings provided. Your task includes correctly positioning and welding the reinforcement according to the instructions. Experience as a welder is not a requirement; it is mainly about accuracy when joining the reinforcement. Because every project is unique, this position is very diverse and interesting! 

In addition, your tasks include:

• Preparing machines and tools;
• Interpreting technical drawings;
• Cutting and bending reinforcement materials to size;
• Making and braiding connections with iron wire;
• Ensure quality and safety according to standard guidelines;
• Carrying out welding work;
• Gathering materials and tools;
• Transporting the finished product.

About the client

Our client has expertise in producing reinforcement for prefab concrete factories, which are used in residential construction, non-residential construction and infrastructure projects.

What we ask of you:

As an experienced iron braider, you get enthusiastic about reading technical drawings. This is no problem for you either. You also meet the following job requirements:

• Experience with welding;
• A driven and proactive working attitude;
• You know how to tackle things;
• In possession of a driving license B and own transport;
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
