Safety Science Advisor

Your knowledge makes the difference. At our client, you are in the place where technology and sustainability come together. You work for and with concrete producers in Nederland . You translate the sustainable ambitions of the sector into standards and regulations. And you are the voice of the members in committees and consultations. With your knowledge, tact and drive, you ensure real impact.

You are indispensable in the translation of policy into practice. Without you, smaller producers lack a solid technical discussion partner. Your work helps them to comply with laws and regulations and to become more sustainable. What will you do?: 

• Contributing and supporting the overall collective advocacy
• Industry representative in the field of social affairs in Nederland and Europe
• To give substance to and, together with the members, to formulate policy for social affairs
• Supporting companies in the field of safe and healthy working
• Maintaining and updating safety tools and information material
• Maintaining and updating the Arbocatalogus and RI&E
• Drafting and coordinating guidelines for concrete raw materials
• Answering questions from companies in the field of concrete and construction technology

You will be given plenty of room to learn and grow. For example in sustainability, regulations or communication. Through their network you will build your own position in the sector. You will gain the trust of producers and become their permanent sparring partner.

About the client

Our client is the trade association for concrete producers. With more than 200 affiliated factories and over 6,000 professionals, they are committed to sharing knowledge and making concrete more sustainable. With them, you work with smart, committed people. What we offer you:

This function is for 40 hours per week. So you can count on:

• a gross monthly salary between €5,500 and €6,000 (depending on experience).
• Good secondary conditions such as pension accrual, travel allowance, holiday pay and days

What we ask of you:

You like clarity and think in solutions. You seek connection, but also dare to take a position. You: 

• have a safety background
• have knowledge of occupational health and safety and relevant legislation and regulations
• have a background in construction, civil engineering or similar
• speaks or likes to learn the language of the concrete sector
• have an affinity with education and preferably a network in this field
• have a good command of the Dutch and English language
