Gas, water and heat distribution technician with company car

Are you the one who will be responsible for providing light, heat, gas, electricity and water in the province Drenthe in the future? As a gas, water and heat technician, you work on the underground pipe network. Together we ensure that the necessary infrastructure is created to sustainably store and transport energy and water. Our goal is to bring light, heat, gas, electricity and water from the source to the consumer. This requires specialist knowledge, problem-solving skills, strong safety awareness and installation skills.

As a technician, you work for network operators and drinking water companies on both main pipes and house connections. You always work closely together in a team and have regular contact with the executor. We are looking for a technician who likes to work outside, is flexible and customer-oriented in communication. Moreover, we think it is important that you are willing to continuously develop yourself through education and training.

Some of your tasks are:

• Locating cables and pipes based on (digital) drawings.
• Installing gas, water and heat pipes.
• Digging, filling and compacting trenches.
• Independently measure the pipeline route.
• Shortening, covering and drilling pipe parts, and installing fittings.
• Soldering and making welded connections (PE). If necessary, test the piping system and put it into operation.
• Carrying out troubleshooting and maintenance work on the pipeline network.
• Keeping administrative reports on the work carried out.

What we ask of you:

You have or are willing to obtain the following certificates:

• VIAG, KIAD and/or VeWa (Vocational training courses).
• At least an (A)VP and/or VPA certification.
• Several years of work experience as a mechanic with underground pipes.
• Driving License B.
• Valid VCA certificate.
