Nursery Employee

As an all-round nursery employee, you are responsible for various tasks within the company, ranging from taking cuttings and potting them to make plants. You will mainly work outdoors and perform physical labor, working closely with colleagues to ensure that our plants are of the highest quality. Most of the work is done outside, but during certain periods work is also done in the warehouse. You will also work in the day shift from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Sowing, planting and caring for ornamental grasses according to the nursery's guidelines.
• Carrying out general maintenance work, such as weeding, fertilizing and watering.
• Assist in harvesting and packaging the plants for shipping.
• Ensure a clean and tidy working environment.
• Carrying out other common tasks at the nursery

About the client

Our customer, located in Ospel , is a renowned perennial plant nursery that specializes in growing ornamental grasses. With a varied range of plants and a complete cultivation approach, they offer more than 400 different types of ornamental grasses. Their customer base includes traders, gardeners, garden centers and private sellers. So this role requires real hands-on work and physical involvement.

• Salary according to the collective labor agreement, from €13.67 euros gross per hour based on age and experience

• MBO working and thinking level 
• Physically fit and able to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions.
• You are accurate, proactive and able to work independently.
• You master the Dutch language
• You are customer-friendly and representative
• You have a forklift certificate (or are willing to obtain one)
