About the client

You get the opportunity to work at the Netherlands' largest and most prominent airport, Schiphol ! Approximately 53 million pieces of luggage are processed every year. In this role as a logistics employee you ensure that all luggage accurately arrives at the right destination.

The work as a baggage handler continues 24/7, although most activities take place between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM, we are currently looking for enthusiastic team members for the morning shifts, from Monday to Sunday! We are looking for candidates who are available at least 24 hours a week, of which at least Fridays (in all shifts) and two other weekdays are required.

What are the working hours?

There are different services, see below how it is approximately divided (the services consist of 6 or 8 hours per shift): 

1. Morning shift has different start times between 3:45 AM and 9:45 AM --> Service ends no later than 6:00 PM;
2. The first starting time for the afternoon shift is 12:45 PM --> Service ends no later than 10:30 PM;
3. Evening/night shift is from 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM or from 1:45 AM to 10:00 AM

What we offer you:

• A starting salary of €14 based on age and/or experience, excluding irregular hours allowance between 30% and 90%!!;
• Travel costs are 100% reimbursed when you travel by public transport, otherwise € 0.21 per kilometer (maximum € 12.60 per day);
• 8% holiday pay and 25 holiday days on a full-time basis + end-of-year bonus;
• Weekly schedule based on your availability via a handy app;
• Weekly or four-weekly payment;
• Pension accrual from your first working day;
• Discount in the shops and catering at Schiphol Plaza (with your Schiphol pass). 

What we ask of you:

There are not many requirements for this position! You do not need to have any experience, but it is important that you are physically fit, because of lifting the (heavy) suitcases of travelers.
What is important is the following: 

• You speak Dutch and English;
• You are 21 years or older; 
• You are available at least 24 hours a week. Of these, Friday is a mandatory day + 2 other weekdays;
• Your driving license B for at least 2 years;
• You live in the area of Schiphol (maximum 30 km away).

However, you must be able to apply for a declaration of no objection (VGB), for which you must have lived in Nederland for 8 years.
