What will you do as a declarant in Rotterdam ?

As a declarant, you ensure the smooth running of international trade processes. Without your expertise in customs declarations, tax representation and handling of objection and appeal procedures, they will not be able to maintain efficient customs service. You do this by:

• Manage import and export declarations.
• Carrying out checks on customs formalities and handling them.
• Communicate with customs authorities on tariffs and tax issues.
• Arrange physical checks by customs.
• Collect information for customs and tax declarations.

What we offer you:

Gerlach offers a full-time (32-40) position with an annual contract and the prospect of permanent employment. With working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the permanent office in Rotterdam . So you can count on:

• €3,000 to €4,500 per month, depending on what knowledge and experience you bring.

What we ask of you:

We are looking for someone with intrinsic motivation who wants to learn and discover everything about the customs field. And also likes to deal with more complex customs matters. You also bring: 

• At least 1 year of experience as an (assistant) declarant or customs specialist. 
• A basic training as a declarant, customs specialist and/or professional diploma in a declarant, preferably obtained within the EvoFenedex. 
• Current knowledge of customs legislation, preferably as broad as possible. 
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
