Truck driver

About the client

As a C Driver you deliver food and other groceries with a refrigerated box truck to hospitals and healthcare institutions. On average you have 6 different routes, so there is always variety in your work. The advantage is that the schedules are known two weeks in advance, so you can easily schedule private appointments around work. Een working week is on average 40-45 hours spread over 5 working days, with work on Saturdays every other week. In principle, no work is done on Sundays and public holidays.

A typical working day:

• You start early, usually between 4:00 am and 6:00 am;
• You load the truck and check it according to a vehicle checklist;
• You depart at the indicated time, and the routes usually have a fixed order;
• You stop at an average of 10 different locations per day and deliver products on rolling containers at the door or up to department level in the refrigerator;
• You can arrange your breaks during the day, taking driving and delivery times into account;
• After completing the route, you return to Huuskes, unload the packaging and park the truck;
• You will be back home on time, so you can, for example, pick up the children from school;
• If you also have a driver's license E to C, you can occasionally commute to the main branch.

What we offer you:

• A gross monthly salary between €2,300 and €2,875;
• A driver's allowance;
• Have you finished your route? Then your day is over!; 
• On average you work 40-45 hours per week spread over 5 days;
• You have to work on Saturdays, but you get a compensation day during the week, and there is a 10% irregularity allowance on Saturdays;
• Schedules are known two weeks in advance, so you know exactly which route you will do that day;
• Good facilities for drivers at all locations of the organization.

What we ask of you:

• You have a valid driving license C, driver's pass and code 95;
• You can deal well with unexpected situations and communicate clearly with the logistics planners in case of unforeseen situations;
• Do you have an E driver's license? This is a plus;
• You are the company's calling card; a representative appearance is therefore important!; 
• Good command of the Dutch language, spoken and written.
