Are you good at planning appointments, agenda management and do you know how to maintain an overview in a dynamic environment? Do you also have experience in a similar position? And are you available at short notice? Then read on!

We are looking for a board secretary for our client in Apeldoorn . In this position you work closely with a team consisting of the councilor, an administrative advisor, a communications advisor, an advisor for cabinet and events. Together with 7 other colleagues who perform the function of administrative secretary, you are responsible for ensuring a positive relationship between the municipality and its citizens and you support the councilor in the daily activities. 

These are your duties:

  • Managing a complex agenda; 
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail; 
  • Answering the telephone and processing information;
  • You are responsible for preparing meeting documents in Ibabs;
  • You discuss the agenda, the incoming contact forms from citizens and received requests for representative activities, such as an opening event or seminar; 
  • Researching issues and reporting them to the right departments. 

For this position we are looking for someone who can keep a good overview while carrying out his/her work. You set the right priorities and know what needs to be done without being asked. With your creative way of thinking, you know how to relieve the councilor's worries and you always have a solution ready. In the absence of your colleagues, you also support other councilors. It is therefore important that you have a flexible attitude.

With more than 167,000 inhabitants, the municipality Apeldoorn is the 11th municipality of Nederland . Together with approximately 1,600 colleagues, the municipality ensures optimal services for residents and entrepreneurs. You will work in a team of seven board secretaries. This is a close-knit and social team that you will join.

What we ask of you:

  • MBO+ work and thinking level;
  • Recent experience in a similar position, for example: Management Assistant or Executive Secretary;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both oral and written;
  • Good communicative skills.
