As a Waste & Cleaning Driver/Loader you get the opportunity to make an essential contribution to a clean and well-maintained living environment in the municipality of Vlissingen . Your main responsibility is to collect and process (household) waste in a smooth manner. You carry out your tasks with a focus on independence and efficiency. Thanks to your experience with various waste collection techniques, including unloading underground waste containers and working with both rear and side loading vehicles, you always know how to get the job done.

As a driver/loader at the city management department, you have a passion for your profession. You start your day early in the morning, when the sun slowly rises and the city wakes up. Upon arrival at the city cleaning service, your trusted garbage truck will be ready to follow its daily route and collect household waste.
You greet the residents with a warm smile while you collect the waste. You are aware that you are the calling card of the city Vlissingen and see it as your personal mission to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable city. Yesterday was a busy day as a driver, today a new challenge awaits you. You go out with one of your fellow drivers and, as a loader, ensure that all waste containers are emptied in the garbage truck. Een physically more demanding position, but this way you don't have to pay for a gym membership in your spare time ;) . It is precisely that alternation between services as a driver and services as a loader that appeals to you. And that way no day is the same. In this position you work three days as a driver and two days as a loader.
After an exciting day you return to the home base of the City Management team. You feel satisfaction in what you have achieved: contributing to a cleaner and more beautiful city. In this way, together with your colleagues, you continue to work for a clean and attractive city Vlissingen .
