Mechanic

For an international wholesaler we are looking for several service technicians spread over the regions West, Central and South Nederland . The location is Alphen aan den Rijn.

In the position of a service technician, you independently visit customers and provide appropriate services on location, such as installing equipment, troubleshooting problems, but also giving advice to customers on how they can extend the service life. 
Before you go on the road independently, you must complete the training process. During this period you will get to know the products, but of course also the company! You learn all this on the job by going out with a colleague, so that you learn all the ins and outs. 

Other duties in this position include:

• Point out to customers the correct way to use a product;
• Provide advice on possible replacement options;
• Draw attention to maintenance products, service contracts and accessories;
• Systematically process performed work;
• You don't leave until a customer is satisfied.

This is a full-time position, where you will ultimately work independently in the region around your place of residence. 
For this position, a van will be ready for you during business hours, so that you can go to customers with the right equipment and supplies.

To ensure that product knowledge remains up-to-date, training courses are regularly given in their own training center.

• Salary in accordance with the Metalektro Collective Labor Agreement, scale D/5 (€2500 - €2900 gross per month);
• Travel allowance of €0.23ct per km, from 10km to 30km one way; 
• A fully equipped work van including materials, after your training period;

What we ask of you:

• You are available full-time;
• You have basic knowledge of electrical engineering or relevant work experience in a technical/service-oriented position;
• In possession of a driving license B;
• A good command of the Dutch language.
