What are you going to do? 

The Flower Auction in Rijnsburg is not just a marketplace; Originally it is the most interesting meeting place where growers, traders and florists come together to trade the most beautiful and freshest flowers. Nowadays, trading is often done online, there is a new digital platform that gives you access to the largest sales market in the world, and the logistics process is becoming increasingly faster. As a result, current logistics processes must be analyzed and improvements initiated. Fun projects to work on! 

Your most important activities:

  • Together with your fellow team leader, you ensure that the daily operation runs smoothly. The working hours are between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM and you alternate start and close. 
  • You lead a team of 20-30 logistics employees and a process coordinator.
  • Your process coordinator manages the process on the work floor for you. He/she controls the processes and realizes the daily KPIs. You do not participate in the process, but you are visible on the work floor and give everyone personal attention. As a result, involvement and motivation are high, absenteeism is low and work is done safely.
  • You have contact with customers about delivering the flowers. 
  • You are HR responsible for your team and are responsible for performance reviews, assessment interviews and absenteeism due to illness.
  • In addition to visibility on the work floor, you always look for improvements in the process and work on improvement projects.

  • Immediately employed by Royal FloraHolland for 24-38 hours a week.
  • Working hours between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
  • A salary in accordance with the collective labor agreement of €3,500 to €5,100 gross per month based on 38 hours;
  • 27 vacation days for full-time employment with the option to purchase 10 extra days; 
  • Travel allowance from 10 km, €0.21 cents per kilometer;

What we ask of you:

To make the position of logistics team manager a success, you know how to optimally deploy your team and their talents. You motivate, coach and ensure that you are visible to your people. Een chat here and there, just ask how things are going, personal attention is key. In addition, you have analytical skills and can work well together and communicate with your fellow team manager. We also ask: 

  • A completed MBO4/HBO education.
  • You have at least 2 years of work experience in a logistics position.
  • You are available on Wednesdays for team meetings.
