Gas, water and heat distribution engineer

Will you soon be responsible for the supply of light, heat, gas, electricity and water in the province Drenthe ? As a gas, water and heat technician, you focus on the underground pipe network. Together we create the necessary infrastructure for sustainable storage and transport of energy and water. We bring light, heat, gas, electricity and water from the source to the end user. This role requires a combination of specialist knowledge, problem-solving skills, strong safety awareness and assembly skills.

As a technician you work for network operators and drinking water companies, both on main pipes and house connections. You always operate in close collaboration with a team and maintain regular contact with the executor. We are looking for a technician who likes to work outside, is flexible and has a customer-oriented attitude. We also value your willingness to continuously develop through education and training.

Your tasks include:

1. Locating cables and pipes based on (digital) drawings.
2. Installation of gas, water and heat pipes.
3. Digging, filling and compacting trenches.
4. Independently measure the pipeline route.
5. Shortening, covering and drilling pipe parts and installing fittings.
6. Carrying out soldered and welded connections (PE); possible testing and commissioning of the piping system.
7. Carrying out troubleshooting and maintenance work on the pipeline network.
8. Administrative keeping of work carried out in reports.

This concerns employment for a leading client in the infrastructure sector. Most assignments are carried out in and around the province of Drenthe . • Gross monthly salary ranging from €16.58 to €20.23 (depending on collective labor agreement, experience and age)

What we ask of you:

You must have the following certificates (or be willing to obtain them):

1. A professional training (VIAG, KIAD and/or VeWa)
2. At least an (A)VP and/or VPA designation
3. Several years of work experience as a mechanic with underground pipes
4. A valid driving license B
5. A VCA certificate
