For the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht we are looking for a service-minded colleague who receives visitors with great pleasure and positive energy and helps with all kinds of questions. You think ahead and are always one step ahead of our visitors when it comes to the services they might need. Thanks to you, every student, employee and guest feels completely at home at our locations. This concerns the position of front office employee at Heidelberglaan 7.

As a front office employee you are responsible for:

  • Receiving and referring visitors;
  • Answering questions (orally, by email or telephone);
  • Registering/monitoring reports in TOPdesk;
  • Reserving spaces;
  • Replenish service points with office supplies and printing, among other things;
  • Emergency response-related tasks in the event of emergencies.


  • Working days: Monday to Saturday
  • Working hours: between 07:00 and 22:15
  • Start date: August 19, 2024
  • Number of hours: 28-32 hours per week

  • A salary ranging from €15.50 to €21.21 per hour (based on scale 6);
  • Travel allowance;
  • A meal allowance when working evening shifts;
  • An hourly allowance of up to 65% per hour (see the collective labor agreement for the conditions);

What we ask of you:

  • You are social and like to roll up your sleeves;
  • You master the Dutch language, spoken and written;
  • You have good communication skills and are representative;
  • You are flexible and can work well in a hectic environment;
  • You will receive company clothing from the HU for this position;
  • You are in possession of a BHV Diploma or are willing to obtain one (at our expense);
  • You can be deployed flexibly between 28 and 32 hours.
