HUB Supervisor

What are you going to do Supervisor HUB?

As a Logistics Supervisor at DHL, you and your fellow supervisors are responsible for 15 team leaders and more than 350 logistics employees. You report directly to the Operations Manager. You will work at our Central Hub in Utrecht , where more than half a million packages are processed and sorted every day to 240 locations throughout Nederland .

Your main tasks are:

• Managing the sorting process under your responsibility, which runs 24/7 with various peak times during the day.
• Optimizing the process by proactively identifying areas for improvement and making improvement proposals.
• Providing leadership to the team leaders, getting the best out of everyone with your leadership style.
• Carrying out various HR-related tasks, including conducting coaching and development conversations and managing case management in the event of absenteeism.
• Achieving objectives and creating a pleasant working environment in which everyone can perform optimally.

Important: In this role you work in three shifts.

You are ready for a big challenge and have insight into process optimization through your managerial work experience in a dynamic environment such as logistics! DHL continues to grow and up to 300,000 packages pass through our sorting installation every day. These packages are delivered to 140 CityHubs. You are a people-oriented manager and with this approach and your empathetic ability you know how to coach and motivate the team. You also challenge your fellow supervisors. You give feedback and you are not afraid to receive feedback. Furthermore you have:

• HBO working and thinking level 
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within transport & logistics
• Strong analytical skills; you know how to translate data into actions.
• Good oral and written skills in Dutch and English.
• Experience with irregular shifts and the willingness to work in this. We are dealing with a process that runs 24/7.
