This isn't just any office; Here you are in direct contact with the vibrant world of international trade. You not only interact with customers and customs via digital means, but you also meet drivers personally at the counter.

As a declarant, you play an important role in ensuring that cross-border trade runs smoothly. Your expertise ensures that trade does not stagnate. You achieve this by:

• Efficient processing of import and export declarations.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and deadlines.
• Direct contact with drivers and customers about customs matters.

The office also opens on Saturdays, but you are only scheduled for this service once every 5 to 6 weeks. These Saturday services are richly rewarded with an attractive additional compensation of no less than 150%.

What we offer you:

Gerlach offers a full-time (32-40) position with an annual contract and the prospect of permanent employment. With varying working hours at the border office in Oldenzaal . So you can count on:

• A competitive salary between €3,000 and €4,200 per month, depending on what knowledge and experience you bring
• This increases even further due to allowances: 30% if you work after 6 p.m., 50% on Saturdays and 100% on Sundays.
• 25 to 39 vacation days. This includes 6 flexible à la carte days for free time, extra salary, company fitness or a cycling plan. There are also options to purchase an additional 8 days

What we ask of you:

We are looking for someone who wants to master the profession of declarant. You are someone who brings knowledge of import and export declarations, and is motivated to master the customs field. For this position you bring the following:

• At least one year of work experience as a declarant or knowledge of import and export declarations.
• Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, essential for effective communication in our international working environment.
• You have customs training or are willing to obtain one. 
• Are willing to work in shifts, with varying working hours: from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. In addition, you are available once a month to work on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Your work schedule typically consists of two early shifts, two day shifts and two late shifts per week.
