Driver / Supervisor Airside Schiphol

Do you have a great affinity with Schiphol or aviation? Have you always wanted to drive on the runways of dynamic Schiphol ? For our client Schiphol Group we are looking for an Airside Support Employee. You work between the planes and in the meantime you will be trained free of charge to become an Airside Support Employee. You will immediately receive a contract for 24 hours per week and together with you we will look at a thorough planning. The entry-level salary for the position is €15.38/hour, but if you have a lot of experience in an operational environment, the salary is negotiable. Your salary can increase enormously due to the allowances in the evenings, nights and weekends, up to a salary of € 29.22 / hour. Are you someone who dares to take on safety and responsibility? What does your day look like at Schiphol Airside?

Within this position, your greatest responsibility is cleaning, safety and installing temporary measures on and around the runways. 

You are also busy with:

• Guiding contractors, as they are not authorized to enter the landing area independently
• You are responsible for ensuring that contractors can safely carry out their maintenance on airside
• You supervise the performance of various maintenance activities
• Cleaning on airside during the winter and summer season by driving sweepers, scrapers and spreaders (slip control)

In order to perform this position properly and thoroughly, you will follow an internal training program. It is necessary that you are available full-time for the first 4 to 6 weeks. Because during this period you will be fully guided by a core instructor, who will teach you all the basic principles of the profession. After this, you will follow various on-the-job training courses and also a number of modules such as e-learning. Before you can work completely independently, it will take at least 1 to 1.5 years. 

The working hours in the 3 shifts are as follows from Mon to Sun: 

1. 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; 
2. 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM; 
3. 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

You will start working through employment agency Actief Wer kt!  Our client is the largest and most important airport of Nederland , Schiphol . Safety at such a large organization is crucial!

What we offer you:

• A basic salary of € 15.38 / hour which can increase to € 29.22 / hour 
• Surcharges for morning, evening, night and weekend shifts between 130% and 190%

• Travel expenses are 100% reimbursed when you travel by public transport, otherwise € 0.21 per kilometer (maximum € 12.60 per day)

What we ask of you:

• A good command of the Dutch language;
• Available at least 4 days a week in 3 different shifts (You can also work full-time!);
  
• In possession of Driving License B and at least 2 years of driving experience;
• Have lived in Nederland for at least 8 years (required to apply for your Schiphol Pass).

NB! You cannot start directly at Schiphol . To apply for your Schiphol Pass, we submit a request to the Royal Military Police. This procedure can take 2 to 6 weeks. As soon as you have received your VGB (No Objection Declaration) from the Royal Military Police, you can pick up your Schiphol pass and you can start shortly afterwards. Keep this in mind!
