What does the role of Senior Purchasing Advisor entail? 
As a Senior Purchasing Advisor you are an experienced discussion partner for management and you are adept at asking internal needs. You provide advice, create opportunities and ensure compliance with legal frameworks. You are responsible for various tasks at strategic and tactical purchasing level. The range of goods and services to be purchased is very diverse, varying from office facilities to pest control, from ICT to hiring contracts and from construction projects to consultancy services. Most agreements have a term of four years.

Furthermore, the following activities are under your responsibility:

  • Advising and facilitating in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Carrying out various activities at strategic and tactical purchasing level.
  • Drafting, writing and evaluating tenders in collaboration with internal clients.
  • Organizing and carrying out market surveys and consultations.
  • Realizing complex tenders and drawing up tender documents.

What we ask of you:

As a senior purchasing advisor you are solution-oriented, analytical and have strong communication skills. You have the capacity to organize tender processes in such a way that the chance of a successful end result is maximized. In addition, understanding complex files and translating information from various perspectives into a clear, targeted strategy appeals to you! You also have:

  • At least a completed HBO education in business administration, business economics, legal or technical fields.
  • In possession of a NEVI 1 diploma or equivalent (NEVI 2 or equivalent is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience with purchasing, tenders and contract management at a government organization or public organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with European tenders.
  • Knowledge and experience working in government organizations or the public sector.
  • Knowledge of and experience with project management, Negometrix and TenderNed.
