As a pipe fitter you are the specialist in assembling and disassembling pipes and piping systems. You are responsible for installing all necessary technical facilities and appendages. In short, as a pipe fitter you perform all assembly work required for the (petro) chemical industry and the oil and gas industry.

As an employee you can count on an excellent monthly salary of €2500-€3500 gross. As a self-employed person you can count on a rate of €38-€42 gross per hour. To get started as a pipe fitter, you need a completed VMBO course in Pipe Editing or a comparable professional diploma. Several years of relevant work experience is also a bonus. In addition, you must be in possession of a VCA basic certificate and a Working on Flange Connections certificate. If you also have a VVL-H certificate, that is certainly an advantage.
