What will you do as a declarant on Schiphol ?

Your expertise as a customs broker is important for the smooth handling of our international trade. You ensure accurate customs documentation and provide expert support to our customers. Your versatile skills keep our operations efficient and reliable. Your main duties include:

• Carrying out customs formalities for import, transit and export of goods.
• Advising customers and forwarders on customs matters.
• Drawing up objections and appeals for customs matters.
• Administrative handling of tax and VAT matters.

Your involvement in projects such as AEO certification, customs warehousing and anti-dumping will contribute to your professional development.

What we offer you:

Gerlach offers a full-time (32-40) position with an annual contract and the prospect of permanent employment. With working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in a pleasant workplace with a beautiful view over the grounds of Schiphol .. So you can count on:

• A competitive salary between €3,000 and €4,500 per month, depending on what knowledge and experience you bring

What we ask of you:

You have a strong affinity with customs matters and want to develop your all-round skills in the customs field. You bring the following experience: 

• At least basic customs broker training. 
• At least 2 years of experience in a position as an (assistant) declarant.
• Knowledge of import declarations and command of Dutch and English.
