Luggage logistics employee Schiphol
As a luggage logistics employee you will grow into an all-round BOS employee. You start in the coding department, where you start by learning to read suitcase labels. You then work at the odd-size points in the departure halls, where unusual luggage (such as surfboards, bicycles, skis, etc.) is delivered. And eventually you will grow into an all-round Logistics Employee. Your tasks include:
- Coding suitcases with unreadable labels
- Investigating lost luggage
- Checking in unusual baggage
- Registering baggage in the system and assigning it to the correct handler
- Moving suitcases throughout the baggage hall using electric carts for which you need your driving license B
Work shifts : we are looking for candidates who can be deployed at least 3 days a week, of which Monday and Friday are mandatory days. You can indicate the other day(s) flexibly.
- Morning shift between 3:45 AM and 9:45 AM, ends no later than 6:00 PM
- Afternoon shift starts at 12:45 PM and ends no later than 10:30 PM
- Evening/night shift from 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM or 1:45 AM to 10:00 AM
About the client
Through our employment agency Actief Werkt! you will start working as a Baggage Service Employee at Schiphol . As a passenger you never see the luggage cellar, but in this position you do. The 4 baggage halls are the same size as 16 football fields. Imagine being able to work in this dynamic environment; how nice is that!
What we offer you:
- Gross hourly wage of € 14.46, rising to € 27.47 (due to allowances for morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts varying between 130% and 190%)
- 100% reimbursement for public transport travel costs, otherwise € 0.23 / km (maximum € 23.00 / day);
- 8% holiday pay and 25 holiday days (based on full-time)
- 8.33% end-of-year bonus
- 10% discount at Schiphol Plaza
- Scheduling based on your availability, chance of a permanent job and weekly payment on Tuesdays
What we ask of you:
- At least 2 years in possession of a driving license B and at least 1 year of driving experience
- Be physically able to lift luggage
- Good oral command of the Dutch language
- Availability for at least 3 days a week, including at least Mondays and Fridays
- Living in Nederland for at least 8 years (required for the Schiphol Pass)
