Then apply immediately and start working as a Transport Planning Supervisor at DHL, at our Network Control Center location in Utrecht . This is the central point where the entire operation comes together and ensures that all packages are transported from A to B in a timely manner.

What can you expect in the role of Supervisor:

Together with other supervisors and the team of transport planners and support officers, you ensure that transport planning runs optimally every day, and you report to the Transport Manager. In this role you are responsible for achieving set goals, leading work meetings and ensuring the quality of services.

You are also responsible for:

  • Motivating, encouraging and coaching the team and conducting HR conversations. 
  • Supporting complex issues. 
  • Optimizing processes. 
  • Monitoring the overview and quality of the work. 
  • Recruiting employees/planners for your team/department.

Important: In this role you must be flexible in working varying shifts. Together with other supervisors you have a rotating schedule for morning, afternoon, evening and night shifts.

  • A salary between €3590 and €5120 gross per month based on 40 hours depending on your knowledge & experience. 
  • ORT surcharge (Monday to Friday 6:00 PM - 24:00 25% Monday to Friday 00:00 - 06:00 30% Saturday 00:00 - 24:00 50% Sundays and public holidays 00:00 - 24:00 50%)
  • 23 vacation days + 8% vacation pay.

What we ask of you:

As a manager, you have a people-oriented approach and know how to motivate and coach the team. In addition, you bring knowledge within transport and logistics focused on transport planning, you also have: 

  • Completed HBO education in transport & logistics. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within transport & logistics. 
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
