As a driver in Waste & Cleaning training, you get the opportunity to make an essential contribution to a clean and well-maintained living environment in the municipality Vlissingen . Your main responsibility is to collect and process (household) waste in a smooth manner. You carry out your tasks with a focus on independence and efficiency. You start your day early in the morning, when the sun slowly rises and the city wakes up. Upon arrival at the city cleaning service, your trusted garbage truck will be ready to follow its daily route and collect household waste. 'On the job' you will be trained to become an experienced driver, where you will be trained in various waste collection and driving techniques. In addition to the daily training, you will of course also obtain the necessary papers. 

You greet the residents with a warm smile while you collect the waste. You are aware that you are the calling card of the city Vlissingen and see it as your personal mission to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable city. Your customer-friendly approach is appreciated by the residents, who often have a chat with you. 

After an eventful day you return to the home base of the City Management team. You feel satisfaction in what you have achieved: contributing to a cleaner and more beautiful city. In this way, together with your colleagues, you continue to work towards a clean and attractive city Vlissingen .

What we offer you:

• A salary between € 2,288 and € 3,317 gross per month based on 36 hours according to the Municipal Collective Labor Agreement.

The work of a driver in training requires not only driving skills, but also technical insight. • Valid driving license B with willingness to obtain a CE driving license.
• Living in the area Vlissingen .
