Mechanical Operator

The products you produce on the line can be found in every supermarket. Tin is a durable and easy to recycle material. You ensure that the production of metal cans runs smoothly. Without you, the machines would stand still for too long, which is not beneficial. You quickly resolve malfunctions and share ideas about optimizing the machines with your team leader. Your team leader is ready to help you and is happy to listen to your ideas. Ultimately, you all aim for the best result. Every shift it is a competition between the different departments to achieve the highest production. You work in a team with an average of 6 colleagues. It is a diverse team, in terms of ages, positions and backgrounds. Your activities consist of:

• Carrying out maintenance and repairs to machines.
• Participating in production and operating the machines.
• Converting machines and adjusting machines where necessary.

You work in a 4 shift system (this will become 5 shifts as of April 2024). The shifts are operated between Sunday 10:00 PM and Friday 2:00 PM. The schedule is made every four weeks. So you never work more than 3 nights in a row and you have 1 weekend a month completely free.

• The morning shift is from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• The afternoon service is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
• The night shift is from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

What we offer you:

Your salary is in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement, starting at € 2,700 excluding allowance, depending on your previous education and work experience. 

• After 1 day you are already building up a pension through the StiPP pension fund.
• 13 ADV days, this is paid in wages.
• Shift allowance of 44%.

What we ask of you:

• At least an education in technology (for example: automotive technology, mechatronics, metalworking or mechanical engineering).
• Experience in a similar or different technical position and the ambition to work even more with technology!
