Customs manager

Are you an experienced logistics manager with knowledge of import and export? And ready for a new challenge in the port of Rotterdam for a customs services company? We are looking for a Customs Team Leader to strengthen the team of 14 employees.

As a Customs Supervisor you are responsible for leading and developing the customs team. You ensure the smooth running of all import and export-related customs matters. Your expertise in customs matters guarantees the quality of our services. Your role is crucial; Without your expertise and leadership, customs formalities would stagnate, which has a major impact on our customers' international trade activities.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Coordinating and improving customs import and export formalities.
• Managing and developing a team of 14 customs brokers.
• Maintaining relationships with customs authorities and customers.

You will also work on challenging projects such as drawing up objections and developing process descriptions and work instructions.

This may concern matters such as tax regulations, trade agreements, and changes in legislation.

What we offer you:

Gerlach offers a full-time position with an annual contract and the prospect of permanent employment. With working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the permanent office in Rotterdam . So you can count on:

What we ask of you:

We are looking for a customs supervisor who:

• Experience with leadership: You have experience with managing teams. You know how to motivate and manage people.
• Basic knowledge of customs matters : You have some experience with customs formalities through previous work. You don't have to be an in-depth expert.
• Strong communication: You communicate clearly and effectively in both Dutch and English.
