Maintenance Supervisor

For our employer in the area of Beverwijk we are looking for a Repair, Assembly and Maintenance Supervisor. In this position you will accompany your colleagues to work assignments throughout the employer's premises. You ensure that your colleagues can safely carry out inspections, repairs and installation of all conveyor belts indoors and outdoors. Together with colleagues and customers you have conversations about possibilities and risks. Many employees also come from external companies, and these colleagues benefit extra from your knowledge about how to work safely and what is not allowed. You contribute to keeping yourself, your colleagues, but also the guests who visit the relevant location safe. 

In addition, you are also a source of support for colleagues with questions. You discuss the content of the work assignment with the customers of the work units and look for opportunities for improvement. You also ensure a good distribution of work among the available employees. When emergency jobs arise, you ensure that they are used as well and smartly as possible, so that the customer is properly helped. So it can be ad-hoc and dynamic work.

You are the eyes and ears of your team leader in the field. Together you agree on the priorities and where you need to adjust the planning. You ensure that the administration is correct and resolve any problems during the job, in consultation with the customer.

It is a challenging position because you have to deal with many and different people. You dare to speak to people about their behavior when safety is at stake. It requires you to know what the work entails, what the customer's requirements are and what the employees in the team can do.
