Production manager

We are looking for a production manager for a company in Apeldoorn . In this position you are responsible for managing the production process and coordinating production activities, to ensure that the process runs as efficiently as possible. In addition, you motivate and enthuse your team and you are ultimately responsible for a pleasant working atmosphere and good production results. 

These are your duties:

• Division of work and preparation of schedules;
• Direct daily management on the work floor;
• Monitoring quality and making timely adjustments where necessary;
• Resolving bottlenecks;
• Identifying and implementing improvements;
• Conducting conversations with employees and potential new colleagues;
• Coordination with the manager and communication with third parties.

The team consists of professionals who have been working together for quite some time and know how to carry out the work. There is a lot of knowledge available. Due to the busy schedule, hiring new colleagues is certainly planned and the team will expand. The intention is that improvements will be made in the future and that the team will work together optimally. The aim of the improvements is a more efficient working method and guaranteeing the highest possible quality.

About the client

Our client is a technical specialist. They produce customized technical products for different customers. The work carried out in the workshop varies from construction work to assembly work and carpentry. The work is very varied, and the emphasis is always on high quality. The organization recently became part of a holding company. The takeover creates scope for further development of the organization. There is room for employee development, hiring new employees and investments needed to improve processes. 

The culture is informal, with short lines of communication. As a Workshop Manager, you coordinate the work directly with the manager.

What we ask of you:

We are looking for a production manager with experience. As a person you are strong in communication and managing activities and staff. You know how to maintain an overview and take the right actions to achieve results and keep quality high.

• MBO+ working and thinking level;
• Experience in a similar managerial position;
• Technical affinity and insight;
• Technical knowledge/work experience is an advantage, but not a strict requirement;
• Available full-time for a longer period.
