As a Mechanical Engineering Engineer (WTB) you are responsible for designing, developing and improving various aspects of commercial vehicles for defense and other emergency services such as ambulance, police and fire brigade. You will work closely with an experienced team of engineers and specialists to create innovative solutions that meet the unique requirements of our customers. Your duties include:

  • Designing and modeling mechanical components and systems for commercial vehicles, such as chassis, bodies, suspensions, and drivetrains.
  • Carrying out technical analyzes to optimize the performance, reliability and safety of the vehicles.
  • Performing tests and simulations to validate prototype performance and resolve any issues.
  • Preparing technical documentation, such as specifications, drawings and reports, to document and support the development processes.

Our client specializes in designing/making commercial vehicles for defense and other emergency services, including fire brigade, police and ambulance. They have been active in this market for more than 100 years and are currently the market Nederland in the field of ambulance construction. In addition to Nederland they also supply high-quality installations to Germany, England and several other European countries. Our client stands for quality and attaches great importance to satisfied relationships.  

What we offer you:

  • A salary between €3770 - €4175 gross per month depending on your experience.

What we ask of you:

  • A completed technical education at MBO or HBO level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or a comparable study.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (e.g. PTC Creo or equivalent) or willingness to learn this. 
  • You are analytical and solution-oriented.
  • You have good communication skills and can work well in a team. 
  • Affinity with defense vehicles and other emergency services such as fire brigade, police and ambulance.
  • In addition to Dutch, you speak and write good English, speaking and writing in German is an advantage.
